Jungian and Post-Jungian Perspectives
with particular reference to becoming a Training
Supervisor
Saturdays: 9.45 am - 1 pm
12 seminars from 21st April 2007 - 19th April 2008
The whole spectrum of Jungian and Post-Jungian
psychology, rooted in the psychodynamic, ranges from the developmental through
the archetypal to the alchemical process. In
its tradition of over 30 years the ASSOCIATION OF JUNGIAN ANALYSTS, in both its
theory and clinical practice, has aimed at exploring and working with the
complete range of Jung's concepts.
This course is being offered for UKCP, BACP and BCP
registered analysts, psychotherapists and counsellors who work as supervisors,
or are beginning with supervisees, and who wish to extend their supervisory
work, informed by Jungian thought. This
would particularly, but not exclusively, include those wanting to become
supervisors in training organisations.
Participants will wish to enhance their supervision
skills and widen their theoretical understanding.
Some places will be available for people who want to
attend just one or more of the seminars. Priority will be given to those booking
the whole course. Attendance will
count for Continuing Professional Development.
To be eligible for the Certificate of Completion of
the course, participants will be invited to write a paper, and will receive
written feedback. A
Certificate of CPD will be provided for others.
The 12 meetings, led by senior members of AJA, will
take place on Saturday mornings, with a 1¼ hour seminar, followed by a 1½ hour
clinical discussion group, in which issues raised in the first part of the
morning will be explored in the context of examples of participants' current
supervisory work. Participants will need to be able to bring case examples of
supervision from their own work for the clinical group.
