& ATTENDANCE AT AGMs & EGMs
Candidate representation on Council
A candidate representative is invited to attend council meetings. They are elected annually by all candidates and the election may be by postal ballot if required. The term of office is one year and the candidate may stand again for election for one further year. They are entitled to attend the non-confidential section of council meetings; receive non-confidential minutes, the agenda and documentation relating to items in the non-confidential section of the meeting. They have no voting rights.
Candidates attending AGM and EGMs
Candidates’ attendance at AGM’s and EGM’s is welcome. They receive minutes of the previous AGM, the agenda and documentation. As candidates are not members of the Association, they have no vote at an AGM / EGM, but are welcome to participate in the discussions.
