Are you a psychotherapist, psychologist or counsellor?
Have Jung’s writings piqued your interest and moved you?
Are you looking for an opportunity to learn how they relate to your own work?
This is the second of a short series of 3 x stand-alone, online seminars, covering various thematic issues pertaining to Jungian Analysis, open to all practitioners regardless of theoretical stance.
The paper: Freud said dreams are the Royal Road to the Unconscious, Jung said they are the Key to the Inner World: they agreed on the value of exploring dreams as a way to understand ourselves. This evening, we’ll look at the similarities and differences in their approaches, at new ideas from neuroscience which connect dreams to empathy, and how we might work with our own dreams and the dreams of our clients.
N.B. Participants will need some drawing paper and coloured crayons to hand for this event.
Presented by: Dr Dale Mathers, a retired Member of AJA. Dale is a former psychiatrist and ran the student counselling service at the LSE. He has led dream workshops and social dreaming events around the world. His next book ‘Dreams: the basics,’ will be published by Routledge in the summer of 2024.
