Mindfulness is an ancient spiritual practice which recently has become popular in the mental health professions and is now moving to many other fields. This talk will take a look at the roots of mindfulness practice in Buddhism. How is mindfulness relevant to Analytical Psychology? We will explore aspects of mindfulness including some practice.

Biography: Dr. Carola Mathers is a supervisor and professional member of the Association of Jungian Analysts (AJA). She trained as a psychiatrist and was for many years Consultant Psychotherapist in the NHS, leaving 10 years ago to practice privately in South London. She teaches on the AJA Jungian analytic training and supports trainings in Poland and Russia. She is a Buddhist practitioner and an artist.
