Safety

Fire extinguishers are positioned on both the ground and lower ground floors at Delancey Street. Smoke/heat alarms are positioned in the hallway and rooms. The fire escape is via the garden, accessed through either the French doors of the meeting room or the back door in the corridor between the Library Room and the Meeting room. It leads onto Albert Street at ground floor level.

The kitchen and general facilities

Facilities are provided for all members, candidates and therapists using the premises: complimentary coffee and tea are available, and the kitchen includes a microwave, toaster, fridge and dishwasher. Anyone placing food in the fridge is advised to label it with their name. Please ensure you do not forget food items left in the refrigerator.

The Operations Manager is on-site from 10am to 6pm Monday to Friday and can be contacted by ‘phone on 020 7794 8711, where there is also an answerphone service, or by email at office@jungiananalysts.org.uk

The office is not available for general use and the office telephone and computer are for administrative use only.

If access to a laptop is required, this should be arranged through the Operations Manager (members and candidates only).

Guidelines for the use of the library

The library is available to members and candidates only.

(please note: catalogue numbers are a library tool, and are not relevant to the position of the books on the shelves)

A catalogue of books is available on the AJA website.

The Lending Library

Books are arranged in alphabetical order by author.

Borrowing time: 3 months for books, 1 month for journals.

To take a book or journal out please enter the name of the book, the author, the library catalogue number from the spine, and your name and date of withdrawal in the Lending Book. If you need to retain it for more than 3 months, please re-enter this at the 3 month point in the Lending Book. This will remind you that it is an AJA book.

If you are waiting for a book that has already been taken out, you can put your initials in the ‘Waiting’ column. This means that the book cannot be retained for a further period by the initial borrower and must be returned so that the ‘waitee’ can borrow it.

When returning a book please note the date of return in the Lending Book and replace the book on the shelf where you originally found it i.e. under Author.

The Reference Library

Books in this section may not be removed from the Library.

Please note: there is a set of Collected Works in the Reference Library as well as the lending library. In addition, access to the CW is available on the AJA website.

Suggestions for books and journals may be made by any Member or Candidate.

Please contact the Operatoins Manager in the first instance:
