Subterranean Workings

Paintings by Linda Ryle

Linda Ryle trained at Goldsmith’s School of Art in the 1960’s. She lives in Cumbria and is married to the painter, Julian Cooper. Her work has taken many twists and turns over the years, but for the last ten she has been mainly concerned with interiors of parts of the old house where they live, using light and shadow to dramatic effect. The paintings are oil on linen.
